Units of Fauldenfell

Units are smaller groups of friends within a chapter who fight together. In order to be recognized as an official Unit within Fauldenfell you just need a unit insignia and at least one member on the War Council to serve as a representative of your Unit to the chapter.

Active Units

Brotherhood of the Snail

Unit Colors: None
Unit Insignia: An Enraged Snail
Leader: Sir Zarth Gleskin
Location: Russellville, Arkansas

Brotherhood of the Snail is a group of Fauldenfell's nobility, knights, and general riffraff who are dissatisfied with the rule of Duke Talmund. Although not quite in open rebellion, these warriors have been stirring up trouble all across the Duchy's western front.

The Vanguard

Unit Colors: Black & Green
Unit Insignia: A White Stag Spewing Flames
Leader: Captain Marcus Steel
Location: Morrilton, Arkansas

The Vanguard is a mercenary company hailing from the distant Free City of Korendar on the continent of Sentroga. They arrived in Fauldenfell at the behest of a local Paladin to crusade against a secret cult that had taken hold within the nobility, but after proving themselves on the battlefield the Vanguard was retained by Duke Talmund to serve as a policing force for the Duchy. Most of the locals would like to be rid of these peculiar foreigners for good, but Duke Talmund has seen the benefits of a large private army to keep his rowdy nobles in check. Some of the mercenaries have even begun to put down roots in the Duchy, so it seems to be a safe bet that they plan to stay. At least for the time being.

Inactive Units

Knights of the Great Old Ones

Unit Colors: Green & White
Unit Insignia: Cuthulu
Leader: Unknown
Location: Searcy, Arkansas

The Knights of the Great Old Ones was a secret Order that thrived for a time amongst the nobility of Fauldenfell. The cult sought to sow chaos, death, and destruction in the realm to bring about the return of fell deities known only as "The Great Old Ones." After their plots were uncovered, the Realm was wracked with vicious battles during which many of the cultists were killed or fled, but no one really knows how many of them might have remained in hiding when their fellows took the field against the Duchy's armies. Even now there could be a secret core recruiting followers and biding its time before launching another brutal attempt to awaken their evil gods.
